Military Impact
Military is Northern Beaufort County’s primary economic driver. Our three installations combined directly employ more than 8,200 military and civilian personnel. According to an economic impact study completed in May 2010, the combined direct economic for military and civilians for the three installations is more than $680 million for the area with a total impact of more than $1.2 billion on the local economy.
